Meet Michael Neef
I've been working in the mortgage industry since 2005, and one thing has stayed consistent the entire time: most homebuyers are underserved by a system built to benefit lenders, not borrowers. That's what led me to start Renegade Home Mortgage, a different kind of mortgage company built on strategy, education, and transparency.
Over the past two decades, I've helped first-time homebuyers, experienced homeowners, and real estate investors make smarter financing decisions. My approach is simple: I take the time to understand your long-term goals, then structure a financing solution that supports those goals, rather than pushing a single loan product.
I'm also the founder of the Pre-Approve Me App, a mortgage technology platform that helps lenders and real estate professionals deliver a modern, transparent experience for borrowers. Through the Pre-Approve Me App, I've helped loan officers across the country improve client communication, streamline applications, and elevate the borrower experience.
I believe the mortgage process should be clear, strategic, and centered around education. My goal is to help you understand your options, avoid costly mistakes, and confidently use real estate as a tool for long-term financial growth.
When I'm not helping clients or building software, you'll find me mountain biking the trails around West Linn, working on new tech projects, or spending time with my family right here in the community I serve.
